What do contractions feel like? About an hour ago I started having cramps like a cross between period and diarrhea that come and go about every 10 minutes but my belly doesn't get nearly as hard as during a BH contraction... I'm also kinda nauseous and have mild pressure in my "lady parts"... I'm almost 38 weeks and I haven't lost my plug yet... Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!!

They feel like period cramps. My doctor has told me (I've been having actual contractions for almost a month and a half now): if the contractions are the good 1- 1 1/2 min long starting with dull the high painful peak and then the let down, they come every 5 min for an hour to 2 hours go into L&D. I went into L&D a week ago bc they were 8-10 min apart and by the time they hooked me up they were 3-4 min apart. I just wouldn't progress in labor so they sent me home. I've stayed at 1-2 cm dilated. I'd call L&D if you feel nervous about it. My doc and the L&D staff say they'd rather me call or go in then stress at home which is just going to make the contractions worse.
ETA: Try laying on your left side, drinking water, putting your feet up, and try to relax a bit and see if it doesn't help. Also, a warm bath can do wonders as well. If you need to relieve pressure, try getting on all fours for a bit to get LO off any nerves they may be laying on

All of this. I've been having them for over a month now. At first I noticed them when I did a lot of activity, I'm a teacher so when I stood up or walked the halls a lot I felt them but when I sat and rested they went away. Now that I'm 4cm dilated, nothing keeps them away, they just need to become regular for me!
