How to pronounce Louis's name?

I always thought it was Lewis.

1d is educating me.

    Is 1D English? I think I remember that. Forgive me for the silly question.

    But is Lou E or Lou ee the English pronunciation, or do all Louis's use the same?

    I know it's the French pronunciation--not sure if it's widely used in England.

    I would go with Lou- eeeeeeeeeee. I've heard he likes it if you yoddle his name also...
