Third generation names...

I have googled and searched, but cannot find anything other than Trip, Tres, or Trey for a third generation name.

 Do you guys know of any other nicknames for a third???

I know a III who goes by Trent.  Might be a stretch, but it's a legitimate name. 

ETA - I also agree with Helena.  My friend goes by Trent because his actual name is so horrendous, no person in their right mind would actually go by it (and it's sort of a cruel joke in the family to pass it on lol - "if I had to survive it, so should you").  Picture a name like Bocephus Elwood. But if the name's decent, I think a nn that plays off it is the way to go.

Does it have to be a NN that has to do with being "the third"?  Could it just be a play on the actual name?

 There is no real nickname to play on the actual name. My father in law goes by the first name, and my husband goes by the middle name. I am not fond of the full name, but my husband reaaaaalllly wants a third. I'm trying to feel it out to see if there are any other nicknames out there...but I cannot find ANY! If we call him by the initials of the name, its super unappealing.

UGH. This is beyond difficult!

This but if you don't want to use the name you should be honest with your DH and see if you can come up with a compromise!

I think it's really sweet that you are considering this, despite that you don't like the name.  Would you want to share it?

What if you did a NN of the middle name?  I have a girlfriend that has a Jr.  His name is Louis Michael, and her LO goes exclusively by Mick.
