Re: Friday Folly

  • Weekend will be pretty relaxing. I picked up a few books at the library and hope to get some reading done.

QOTD: My favorite book as a kid was "Is Your Mama a Llama?" I still have it for my kids. It's ratty and beat up, but I know the whole thing my heart and adore it.

    TTC since February 2013

LGBT Regular with an AE while TTC

And who am I? That's a secret I'll never tell.
    You know you love me.
    xoxo

  • working and keeping busy not testing! I hope to catch up with housework and my favorite book is Cat in The Hat
  • I'm currently rocking my first day wearing a belly band with my jeans! It's sort of awesome because I'm not squeezing into pants that don't fit me anymore, but I'm more excited about the gap maternity jeans on their way to the house next week.

We're going to see a house tonight. It might be "the one" :) Just got to get ours sold now. S is FINALLY back tonight after being gone since last Friday, so I'm SO excited about that!

And some final touches on the house before pics are taken Monday at 1:00.

QOTD: Very 80's, but I can't help it. I really loved Berenstein Bears series and Amelia Bedelia when I was young. I wore those things out. I also really loved the Mr. Men and Little Miss books.

  • I'm hoping that our friend will come over after work tonight so that we can play Settlers of Catan. Other than that I'm planning to do work on my dissertation this weekend. And on Saturday night/Sunday early morning, I'm playing in an overnight, indoor softball tournament. I've never played indoors or overnight before so I'm not sure what to expect!

QOTD: I love Amelia Bedelia, too! The Big Orange Splot by Daniel Pinkwater is one of my favorite books. And Blueberries for Sal by Robert McCloskey. I also grew up with a lot of the Golden Books specifically the nonDisney and nonreligious ones.
    ****loss discussed*****

We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.

  • It looks like we are going to spend the weekend taking care of our dog.  We have two and one of them serious diarrhea and threw up the chicken broth and rice we fed him.  We just had him at the vet last week due to a cracked toe nail that they had to cut totally off.  We have been lucky and haven't had problems with our dogs before and rarely take them to the vet, so this is unusual.  Good times in the Fry household this weekend :-(
