The 5 Stages of 1D Love

1.  Intrigue.  You hear about them, you see gifs, you are intrigued enough to pull up some youtube videos.

2.  Denial.  There is no way that you can have feels for these guys....right? 

3.  Shame.  They seem young but they are so adorable....but they really aren't that young, right?.

4.  Feels.  You watch the same youtube video 10 times and you can't stop.  You need more!

5.  Acceptance.  You are telling everyone of your Directioner status and it makes you proud.

Then one day you don't care who knows about your love for 1D and pump that shiit up to 20 in your car. You start telling DH about them and even your friends = true acceptance.

Truth.  Whenever, my H asks me if I am watching 1D videos again, I smile and turn it up even louder.  I recommend videos and songs to my friends now too.  I also plan on going solo to the 1D3D if I cannot turn any of my local friends into Directioners.

Interesting.  I think that watching my friends overcome their own denial and shame ultimately led me straight from intrigue to feels. 

I'm still tiptoeing into Acceptance, though.  Outside of TB, I've come out to only a few loved ones.  Reactions have been varied so I'm not ready to come out to the whole world yet.

I fully transitioned to 4 last night. I watched Kiss You on youtube several times last night, even danced with DD to it a couple of times. That song is ridiculously catchy.

I'm teetering off stage 3, but I haven't watched any videos consecutively yet. I get a tinge of feels just from gifs. Does that count?
