counting kicks

At my last appointment they told I needed to start counting kicks at 28 weeks. That's Sunday for me. They said I need to count 10 within an hour for each baby. The problem is I can't tell which baby is kicking me. At my last appointment Baby A was breech and Baby B was sideways. I have a lot of kicks towards the top of my stomach so I don't know who that is!!! Any suggestions???

It's hard. The only way I can keep track is to have the u/s tech show me where each babies stuff is. And if they move, forget it, I have to start all over with figuring out who's who.

Are you sure they want you to do separate kick counts for each baby?  I wasn't able to tell who was kicking and it is hard for anyone to know for sure which baby you are feeling and whether it is someone's foot, arm, etc.  My kick count instructions were to count 10 kicks total in a 2 hour period.

My doctor never really had me do kick counts, just to make sure I was feeling movement.  My boys were both vertex so it was nearly impossible to tell which set of feet I was feeling.
