I just signed up for a 5k in April. I'll be 38 weeks pregnant.
I've been running 5ks a few times a week on treadmills and outside when it's not icy, but I'm still nervous! Putting $25 on it makes it seem a lot more intense than it should!
I think it sounds fun! Just stay hydrated and don't go for any PR's or get too competitive with the other runners If your Dr. is cool with it, go for it.
Happy running!
Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from Him. Psalm 127:3
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
I couldn't do it. I've been lifting weights and walking this whole pregnancy, and I've gone from being able to walk at 4 mph to around 3-3.2 mph. It's super depressing to see how much I've had to slow down with cardio.

I'm jealous I was a 5m a day runner before I got pregnant, now I'm lucky if I can handle 45 on an elliptical machine and I'm only at 25 weeks, but if you can do it that is awesome, kick some ass!!! I would if I could.
I ran one at 37 weeks both pregnancies and was able to keep about 10:30 minute miles! It can be done! I ran 3 miles the day before I was induced my first time and 3 miles the night before my c-section. Not crazy at all! Keep running!
I thought I'd be able to remain active through the pregnancy...but then I started getting high blood pressure around 36 weeks and had to stop even going for walks. It sucks. If you feel up to it and your doc is okay with it then it doesn't sound crazy. Just keep in mind your body will change quite a bit a the end of the third Tri.
