Re: Confess something!

  • This isn't that interesting, but LO is sick today so I got a sub to stay home.  I hate that he's sick, but I love the extra time with him and a little "me" time while he's asleep.  Feels like I'm playing hooky!

Also I got 2 FB invites for baby showers.  I see this as a major gift grab.  You want me to travel to your shower and bring a gift?  Then take the time to actually send me a real invite.  I'm sending "congrats on the baby" cards, but no gifts.  Probably makes me a pretty crappy friend, but oh well.

  • DS's feedings run at 32 ml per hour. Over the weekend, I upped it to 300 ml per hour to get an air bubble out. I forgot to turn it back down to 32 so he got like 1.5 hours worth in about 20 minutes. Worst mother ever!
  • I currently work PT and am returning to FT soon, and I feel terrible for saying this, but, in a way, I'm looking forward to it. Most of it is my time at home now isn't super quality anyway because I'm always having to check my BB or get on a call, not to mention competing for performance ratings against FT people, it's stressful! I still feel terrible for actually admitting it.

  • My confession... I miss working as a nurse sometimes. I am a SAHM and have actually been asked twice to return to my old job, even 1/2 time but chose not to return. If I could do one day a week, of my choosing, I'd do it- otherwise, no dice. I do miss it though along with the interaction that came with it. I feel guilty!

  • I tried to get Alex to make a painting with finger paint the other day and he cried and cried once his fingers actually touched the paint. So I put it away for now and will try again in a few weeks. My confession: I always feel like I am not giving him enough possibilities to explore things like that, especially when I see pis of other kids his age on facebook that seem to love doing these things at daycare. But maybe he just doesn't like wet paint on his fingers.
