How awesome my water birth will be! With DS I was on pit but aside from that I was med free and slept through most of my labor. I only pushed for 9 minutes so I had a SUPER EASY time. I didn't like the fact that my doctor put me on pit, I asked for no interventions so with this pregnancy I changed to a midwife who I LOVE.
I am having this baby at a Hollostic Birthing Center that looks amazing and I am super psyched about the water birthing aspect. For those who have had a water birth, does the water really make a big difference with contractions? Did you love your experience? Anything else I should know?

I did not have a water birth because the hospital I delivered in did not allow them.  I did labor in the tub the entire time and started to push in the tub. The water was amazing and made a huge difference with the contractions pains.  I had horrible back labor so I was on hands an knees in the tub with H/doula pouring hot water over my back.  It made a huge difference and really helped ease the back labor.  GL!

I have had three water births and planing my fourth this summer! The water makes all the difference . It really helps take the edge off the contractions and for me helps me to relax inbetween the contractions . Since I have never had a land birth I wouldn't know the difference from being in the tub and not being in one .

yay!  That's good to know!  Thanks ladies!  I didn't have a tub in my hospital room with DS.
