I sent out my first newsletter for my new pt job yesterday.  In the test run with the president, there was no issue.  But now there's a problem with one of the attachments.  It's a flyer for the playgroup I'm starting up and has a graphic at the top.  If I download the attachment, there's no problem, but if I choose to just view it the graphic isn't there.  The small logo graphic at the bottom shows up either way, though.

Anyone know why the graphic doesn't show when I view it?  It's only a problem with one of the four attachments.

Mh said you have to look at what is different on how you put that picture in as opposed to the other picture on the bottom in that attachment.  This might give you a clue.  What file type is the attachment?

It's a word document and I put both graphics in the same way.  I did add text to the one at the top, though.

MH said delete the text and the image put the image in again.  Save and check it.  If the image now works your text could have interfered with the code for the image.  Try adding the text back again.  If it breaks remove the text and play around with the text.  Add some spaces what not.  

When you are using Word the program is making line after line of code for you.  When you add a picture it probably generates hundreds of line of code behind the scenes.  You can really go back in the code and check to see what you did wrong unless you know what you are looking for.

I don't know if this would help or not, but if you get it working could you export the document as a PDF to make sure it's universally read-able? You shouldn't get buggy issues with graphics then...

I'm definitely going to do pdfs for future flyers instead.  I still find it really weird that this wasn't a problem in the test run and is only an issue if you "view" instead of "download" the attachment.  Hopefully most people download it.
