Anyone Else?

I'm trying to find a place to belong, as well as anyone else in a similar situation.  I posted an 'introish' a few weeks ago and I appreciate the person who responded to that, but I just wondered if anyone else has had a hysterectomy at delivery?  I only know of one other woman who I am friends with, but we are both struggling to find a place to be with all of it.  We are forever infertile at this point so we are both looking to other options but are feeling very lonely about all of it.  So just a general throw out post to ask, if there is anyone else in a similar situation.

I don't know anyone else who had this happen.  I never even knew it could happen that way.

Ditto. It is tough and anywhere you feel you can get support I think is fine with any of us......

I'm so sorry for what you've been through.  It sounds really traumatic.  I truly wish you healing, and we will be here to support you in any way we can.

I too had to have a hysto during my delivery. I knew it was going to have to happen about a week before it did but it was still so much to absorb! Mine was due to placenta accretta, meaning that my placenta had fully attached to my uterus. They only way to preserve my life was to remove the placenta with uterus attached. I also lost my cervix in the procedure. I was lucky to have my tubes remain! We would love to go through surrogacy but the costs seem astronomical! I have also been toying with the idea of becoming an egg donor. I feel like this would allow me to give back since I am blessed with three kids. Unfortunately I feel like I am getting the run around from the agency I am working with. Haven't heard back from them in almost 2 weeks! So who knows what's going to happen with that!
