Odd question, I'm not there yet. However, I'm just wondering how some of you have deteremined that it was time to make an appt with your doctor. We started TTC when my son was 5 months old, but I was still EBFing. I did have my period back at that time and I did chart and it did show that I O'd (well it was wonky, but I think I did). I finished BFing entirely when he was 9 months. Would you count those 4 months?
(I'm no where near calling the doctor... plus we had CRAP timing this month... but I was just thinking about if I needed to make that call how long I would wait. I do know at least 12 months)

This is true for couples over 35 far as I know.
In your situation I would wait a full year after you stopped nursing completely. Which, from son's birthday in your siggy, would mean you have quite a ways to go.
I say this for numerous reasons but the #1 being that IF testing is invasive, expensive, and exhausting. You have successfully conceived and given birth. So unless your son is the result of fertility treatments and you have a known issue that needs treatment, I would TTC for the next 9 months before even thinking about IF or testing or any of that. As you know, trying to get pregnant while nursing is not the norm and is a lot harder in many cases. I would give your body a break and just count from when you weaned your son.
My guess is that this will all be moot.
