dinner ideas please!

i'm going in for my 3 hr glucose screening in the morning. so i'm also looking for a filling but healthy meal idea for tonight that won't give me biased results in the morning. 

i was thinking maybe a pasta dish? or something with chicken? (although i'd have to decide that soon since i didn't take it out of the freezer..LOL )

 any suggestions?

Something with a lot of protein. Like maybe chicken and black bean enchiladas? I made something like that last night and it was delicious. I think I found it on allrecipes.com!

We are having taco salads for dinner tonight.  I'm not sure how that would affect a glucose screen, but I think it's pretty yummy.  

We do a garden mix lettuce, tomato, avocado, black beans, corn, ground turkey with taco seasoning, salsa, with optional sour cream, shredded cheddar, ranch and a few corn chips.

Maybe a stir fry type thing with chicken and veggies over brown rice. Or soup. Mmmm soup! Try to avoid white starches.

I'd avoid pasta. I think the night before mine, I had salmon, broccoli and red potatoes. Then for a snack I had unsweetened applesauce and an Activia.

i was going to do fried rice but 1. i can't find my recipe and 2. last time we had it i wasn't really full for long..

 but it sure is yummy!

I ate raisin bran right before mine not even thinking Its covered in sugar. My dr. said that the test is designed that what you eat shouldn't sway it. But I was still worried I was going to fail! All these dinners are making me hungry!
