  • *What is your EDD/how far along?
    July 5th / 21w tomorrow

    *How have you been feeling/doing?
I've been having some major RLP these last few days--I only had them a couple times with DD.

    *Any appointments or milestones?
    Nothing much

*What were your highlights and struggles this week?
Dealing with the RLP has been fun :/  She just feels so heavy already and I still have a long way to go.  But I'm having a blast starting on her nursery so that has been a highlight for sure.

*QOTW: Will you be delivering this time in the same season as your last LO?  What are your pros and cons to this?
I guess pretty much the same season--Aug/Sept are the hottest months here.  We are pretty much guaranteed rain until 4th of July so I think I will have mostly a cool weather pg while with DD the last month was super hot.  But then it was only really hot for a few weeks before Autumn arrived.  Pros are hopefully they will fit in the same kind of season clothes so I won't have to buy more :)

*What is your EDD/how far along?
    9/16/2013 - 10 weeks this week.

    *How have you been feeling/doing?
Well, I have a killer head cold (thanks, DS!) so that's got me kind of miserable.  Otherwise I'm doing okay.  Still nauseous, but no spotting for a couple weeks, which is always nice.

    *Any appointments or milestones?
I have a "check-in" u/s tomorrow in advance of my NT which I need to schedule soon.

*What were your highlights and struggles this week?
Highlights - no spotting.  Yay!  Struggles - being sick and not really having many choices for OTC relief, worrying about LO since I still have a good amount of nausea and really just don't want to eat much.

*QOTW: Will you be delivering this time in the same season as your last LO? What are your pros and cons to this?
Yes -- our EDD is 3 weeks before DS' birthday, so basically another fall baby.  No real pros, since I got rid of all DS' baby clothes (stupid, I know) and we need new ones anyway; Cons are that it is tough to adapt to a new LO when the weather is lousy and you are trapped in the house.  At least i was with DS, given his colicky screaminess and my long c-section recovery.  Hopefully this one will be a little more laid back.

QUESTION FOR ALL OF YOU - Is anyone planning for a VBAC with this baby?

Have you tried the humidifier?  And a nasal rinse?  That is what got me through my head cold I got in 1st Tri.  That and Tylenol and Unisom before bed.  Hope you feel better soon!

  • Dang Bump ate my post. Let's see. Just about 8 weeks. Some days are good and some aren't. The nausea is all over the place and I can't figure it out.

I told my boss but my parents still don't know. I Realize that is weird.

U/s in 2 weeks and not so patiently waiting.

This pregnancy is nearly exactly opposite of the other two. I have Feb/March babies and winter maternity clothes. I'll nerd to figure out some summer basics for weekends. I'm going to make my work clothes that I have now last through despite looking wintery.

  • Well hey everyone! I have not checked in for so long, I do apologize. Never thought I'd be monitored as high risk, but we've got a couple of things going on. During my a/s in November, the tech suspected marginal cord insertion. I waited until 1/2 for my first consultation and u/s with the high risk doc because I knew how expensive that would be and I was right! They confirmed the cord inserted into the placenta off to the side, rather than ideally in the middle. The risk is that there are blood vessels that grow out of the cord to feed the placenta and there is a chance the placenta doesn't get fed as much as it should which would result in smaller baby growth. He also measured 1mm extra fluid around the heart than what they like to see, so I see the high risk doc every 4 weeks now for an u/s.  On 1/30, there was no extra fluid and baby was only measuring 3 days behind. At 32 weeks, he recommended weekly NST's, so I also meet with my regular OB weekly already too. Monday 2/25 is my next high risk u/s & consult.

*What is your EDD/how far along?
My EDD is 4/5 and I am 34 weeks tomorrow.

    *How have you been feeling/doing?
Feeling great! Some nights I don't sleep all that great, but I've had a lot of work stress, sickness and a mean bladder making me get up too many times a night

    *Any appointments or milestones?
Just had a 33 week check up and NST today which went great. Baby is head down. Next appt with high risk doc on Monday, and 35 week appt with regular OB on 3/4. My OB is on board with a scheduled induction on 4/4, which would be cool if all works out because DD1's bday is 7/7.

*What were your highlights and struggles this week?
I'm still huffing up 5 flights of stairs at work a couple of days a week. I'm struggling with the motivation to keep doing a good job at work - I feel like I'm already in check-out mode and that's not good - I've got 6 weeks to go.

*QOTW: Will you be delivering this time in the same season as your last LO?  What are your pros and cons to this?

Just about...DD1 was born in the middle of summer. DD2 will be born in the spring. I'm hoping to be able to reuse most clothes. Definitely don't mind doing a little shopping if I need to! It should be nice to be on maternity leave in April, May & June in central WI. Some days were a little too hot with DD1 in late summer to be outside.

  • *What is your EDD/how far along?
    5-9 & 29 weeks

    *How have you been feeling/doing?
Good other tan some lower back pain that was brought on by my stomach bug last week. At least I don't have sciatica this time.

    *Any appointments or milestones?
Passed my blood glucose test.  I had to take it late because I had been sick.

*What were your highlights and struggles this week?
Highlights-passing my blood glucose.  Struggles...I still feel bad from the bug.

*QOTW: Will you be delivering this time in the same season as your last LO?  What are your pros and cons to this?

Nope DS was born in October....DS 2 will be in May.  I had to buy new maternity tops & sweaters this time around.  I never got any last time because it was still 80 the day before DS was born (however it was 40 3 days later when I left the hospital).

Most of my little baby stuff is fall/winter & this one will probably need summer stuff to start with.  I may be able to reuse some of the t-shirts/onsies/sleepers & maybe some stuff this fall-but if this is a bigger baby I am out of luck.

This time has been better because I'm not big and pregnant in the dead of summer.  We also had record hot temps that fall-so it sucked.

  • *What is your EDD/how far along? EDD is still 8/3, I'll be 17w tomorrow.

*How have you been feeling/doing? Starting to feel better, anemia was kicking my_ass for a little while there.

*Any appointments or milestones? My 16w appt was Monday, heartbeat is 156 (the same as M's was) & I'm up 2lbs. & we were tested for spina bifida (sp?) & the results were perfect. So far all of the testing we've had done has come back normal. :)

*What were your highlights and struggles this week? Highlights: h/b on monday & I'm sure I've been feeling movement. Struggles: Low HGB, it was 10.0 & I've been getting light headed & dizzy & I'm tired again. So now I'm on my pnv plus 130mg of iron a day. AKA: I'll never poop again.

*QOTW: Will you be delivering this time in the same season as your last LO?  What are your pros and cons to this? M is a winter babe (Dec 3rd) v2 is a summer babe (Aug 3rd) totally oppisite. I've still got his clothes, we'll see what is going to be useful though... I'll have mat leave in the summer vs. the winter though & that will be nice. But I had Thanksgiving through the New Year off with M, so that was awesome too.
