Petunia Picklebottom Boxy

Thoughts on this diaper bag? Good? Bad? Better suggestions?

My DD is almost 10 months old now and all over the place, so I'm looking for a backpack type diaper. In my mind it seems like that would be easier to tote around with a squirmy baby.

Thanks in advance.

  • Love Love Love mine - and the only thing I would change about it, they updated in the newer bags!  (velcro top closure, which I would prefer to be magnets - now they are magnets!)

I would buy it again in a heartbeat, even with the velcro.

They hold enough without being too big, they wipe down easily (if you get the wipeable ones), the removable changing pad is a dream.  Worth every penny (though I did buy during one of their rare sales, so i saved a few pennies)

  • Thanks! I found a pattern I really like for $113 on Amazon, and that seems like a good deal.

  • I have two backpack diaper bags - one PPB Boxy and a Skip Hop Via backpack. The PPB is nice and I like it but I love my skip hop.  The skip hop backpack is much more comfortable to wear than the PPB.  I mostly use my skip hop but when I do use my PPB I mostly use the shoulder strap and rarely use it as a backpack because it is not that comfortable.

I would recommend the skip hop over the PPB if your looking for a backpack.

  • I love my boxy. I sometimes wear it as a backpack, sometimes as a shoulder bag. I think backpack is easier though, that way I can carry the baby and not worry about it getting in the way. It's easy to clean and the changing pad is so awesome. You can also buy stroller clips for it, so it doesn't take up room under the stroller. Highly recommend!

  • I've had two- one with the Velcro closure and now one with the magnetic closure. Get the magnetic closure- it's WAY better and so many of my outfits were snagged because of that Velcro. Also, they now make them in solid colors, which is a huge bonus in my eyes, since I wasn't a fan of the patterns before.

  • I have one and love it. I've been using it for almost 3 years now and it's still in great shape. I agree with the previous posters about magnetic closures being much better than the velcro that my bag has. That's the only minus. I can fit enough stuff for 2 kids and it doesn't feel huge. I also like that you can clip it to the stroller, very convinent.
