18w5d. Baby is a sweet potato.
Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones?
AS on Tuesday. Super nervous, but also really excited to find out what this little one is going to be (although my gut says girl).
QOTW: Do you have a home Doppler? What are your reasons to have one or not?
I don't have one. We considered it, but I think that my PgAL brain would get the better of me and I would spend most of my evenings trying to find baby's heart beat. I also know myself well enough that if I had to search more more than 2 minutes I would have a major melt down. It's just better for me emotionally to wait between appointments. Yes, I'm stressed for the couple of days leading up to the appointments, but it's better than the daily stress I would have with a doppler.
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?
Movement, movement, movement! It's so sporadic right now and I know that's how it should be, but boy to I wish that I was feeling baby consistently. I'm worried every hour that goes by without anything. Yesterday was an active day, so I know today will be quiet and I'm just gearing myself up to be a wreck by bed time. It's really messing with my head.

36 weeks on Saturday, so a coconut becoming a honeydew according to the bump's list. Though I know some tickers have a watermelon from this point on. If the ultrasounds are near accurate at all she should be in the 6 lb ish range, so watermelon sounds right to me.
Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones?
Will be full term next Saturday--woo hoo! We have our usually weekly appt and NST on Monday. And I get to stop progesterone tomorrow. And we finally get to have sex again with the preterm labor worries behind us. Yay!
QOTW: Do you have a home Doppler? What are your reasons to have one or not?
We do. I was very skeptical at first. My wife wanted it for the first pregnancy and we used it once or twice but had trouble getting it to work and I wasn't very patient--I felt it just made me anxious. With this pregnancy at first I refused to use it at all--thought I would just freak out if we couldn't find the heartbeat right away. But around 11ish weeks she finally convinced me to let her try around a time when we had just had just heard the HB at labor and delivery and she found it pretty easily. We pretty quickly got into the habit of listening to her most days. Eventually I started checking every day. In the last two months or so I've stopped using it so much as movement has become much more frequent. But still if she doesn't move for a few hours and I get worried I listen to her and can tell at least she's alive before I try to poke her awake and get her to move for me.

Feeling so close, yet so far away from having her here. Most days are okay, but some days I have a freak out. Yesterday while teaching a class over skype I somehow convinced myself my bp might be high and what if I was developing preeclampsia even though my bp has never been high this entire pregnancy (though I am on meds for chronic hypertension). It's that kind of stuff that makes me feel like how can I make it another 5 weeks if Ada decides to be late?! I'm trying to convince her that week 37-38 would be a great time to arrive.
