How to upload a picture into your post?

I'm struggling with this. I've tried several times several images to add a picture into my messages... no success. Help!!

    Ambsies - thanks for the "tech support" section on your profile.  Question - I have a photo and tickler in my forums signature.  I have gone in and deleted them, but they still show in old posts.  Do they only show gone after I delete them and post again?  Or is there another place that I have a glitch?  Thanks! 

     (yep, trying to delete that photo and tickler that you see here).
