Fluid in the ears/flying question

This is kind of a long shot and a weird question.

Lauren has fluid in the ears, we see ENT for our final eval/decision about tubes next month. Lauren and I will be flying (2 hour flight) next month (before she gets tubes). Is that likely to make a difference in regards to possible ear pain with takeoff and landing? I'm planning to try a bottle during those times but was wondering if it will be harder for her.

We took a two hour flight with DD whenshe had fluid in her ears and it didn't seem to affect her too much. We did have her on a Benadryl cycle for 24 hours by then though, as the pedi recomended it to try and dry the ears up.

Yep - when Chris was younger the pedi recommended us putting him on Claritin for a couple of days prior to flying since his allergies often make for a little fluid in the ears.
