Another update

I just got back from the Dr. The ultrasound still showed the larger gestational sac with no heartbeat (I assume no fetal pole either but he didn't mention that) measuring at only about 5 weeks. He is sure this pregnancy is not viable (should be closer to 8-9 weeks by now). He also saw the other two fluid filled areas but he doesn't think these are or ever were sacs - And my thought is if they were 6 week pregnancies, they would be clear sacs by now. He said they could be blood clots, cysts, etc.

The plan is to wait a bit longer to see what my body does on its own. I had blood drawn today, and if the levels are down significantly from last week, that is a good sign that my body will hopefully take care of it on its own, and I will wait one week to see what happens. If the levels have plateaued, or even increased, he wants one more ultrasound next week to be certain, and then we will go from there. if I decide I want a D&C in a week, he will do it.

I have mixed feelings right now - Knowing there likely were never 3 possible pregnancies makes me a lot sadder about losing the only one that had a chance, as well as wonder what the Clomid and IUI did to that one. Probably better not to ask myself those questions though. I've been in a fog for the last few weeks and I honestly just want to move on. So i am anxously awaiting my bloodwork today to see what direction that points us in. The nurse privately told me she would prefer the D&C, however the Dr said he likes to avoid surgery when possible, especially after I've had already two in there (Fibroids).

No, I didn't have one prior to starting Clomid, they did CD3 bloodwork that only checked estrogen and I think another level (but I can't recall what). I definetley agree better safe than sorry!!!

I was actually telling DH about your story since its so crazy! I am sorry you are going through this and hope you get answers soon.

I am so sorry you are going through this!  I remember your story from SAIF and have been hoping for the last couple of weeks to hear good news from you.  I am so sorry you are going through this and that things didn't turn out better.
