Go away nasty cold!

I know there have been many previous posts about this, but I couldn't find one to get some answers from!

My LO has a cold! She was in the hospital over night last weekend because she had a high fever that wouldn't go down. All tests came back negative and they kept her hydrated and were able to get the fever reduced to a resonable temperature. The determined it was viral. That was really all we were told. Anyways, she is still congested and has a runny nose. In the past day she has developed a wet cough. She is eating, but not nearly as much as usual. I spoke to the dr yesterday and she has an appointment tomorrow. I just wondered what kind of home remedies you ladies have tried to keep your LO comfortable until the nasty cold passes. She isn't able to sleep in her crib at this time either (she is a tummy sleeper) due to the runny nose and congestion.

Saline drops worked wonders for my Lo when he had a cold.

Put some eucalyptus oil drips in the humidifier.

A lady at work told me to put Vicks on the bottoms of her feet. Have you ladies heard of that? I have only ever put it on my chest, which I suppose might help
