OPK n00b question

Hey ladies, We're ready to start trying for #3, but I'm 40 so I want to be aggressive in TTC.  I've never used OPKs before; what would you recommend?  Is it worth it to buy the big reusable kit, buy strips, or is there another alternative you'd recommend?

Thanks so much!

  • Amazon sells several brands for cheap.  Last time I checked you can get about 50 Wondfo for about $12.

  • Honestly, if you are being aggressive, I'd skip the cheapies and go straight for either the digitals or the fertility monitor.  More expensive, but foolproof and you don't drive yourself crazy with trying to read lines.

I loved the digital OPKs. You could also use the cheapies up until you are pretty sure you are getting a +, then use a digi to confirm. It makes the box of digitals last a lot longer.
