So, I'm one of those people who hates "crying wolf".. I hate making a big deal out of something if I'm not entirely sure there's something wrong..
With that said.. I've had really sharp pains/cramps since yesterday morning. I can feel them starting.. starts as a dull crampy feeling, will hit a really sharp point, holds for 30seconds or more, tapers back off and then I'm fine again. Yesterday they started like one every half hour for most of the morning, then hit a point where it was like every 20 minutes or so.. but then tapered off for most of the afternoon. They started back up last night, and through the night, and this morning I've had some that have come less than 10 minutes of each other.
Now. I know having a bicornuate ute makes me more likely to have intense braxton hicks. And, with DS, I did.. but, I remember them feeling different. BH didn't feel like sharp pains with DS, it was more of a tightening feeling. I felt my belly get rock hard and tighten and then release. This is definitely more of a painful feeling. But, what sits in the back of my mind is the fact that I have a bicornuate ute and am high risk for PTL. That makes me want to call the OB.
I hate feeling like an idiot if i call and they tell me no, everything is fine, you're just over-reacting. As a FTM, I could "justify" that because I didn't know any better. But, I'm not a FTM now. But, I'm still so unsureeee. I don't know if this is normal or the start of something more serious..... and, I'm feeling like it's better to be safe than sorry. I think I'm going to call at 8 when they open.
What would you do?

This. I will say I had something similar and it ended up being SHARP constipation cramps. It felt different than I would have thought constipation would.
I would call. Don't feel silly, it sounds like you're having legitimate pain. I hope it turns out to be nothing, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Let us know how it goes.

Called. I have an apt with MFM at 2pm.. right now (and when I spoke with OB doc), things have slowed to like 30-40 min apart. OB said if they come back to 10 minutes apart, then to call them back asap, but if they stay this far apart to go to MFM at 2.
I'm hoping it's nothing.. and, the fact that it's inconsistent makes me feel more confident that it's nothing.. but, definitely reminds me of the contractions I had when I was laboring with DS.. the way they start mild, peak, and then taper off.. only difference is the pain is predominantly in my back..
Will update later.. heading up to my Mom's (she's closer to my OB/MFM), and will relax while playing with DS!
Sending lots of prayers. Keep us posted!
