18 day luteal phase? something is not right

My luteal phase was a full 18 days this month since i I had a trigger shot and IUI and know when I supposedly ovulated. I have never had a luteal phase longer than 12 days - usually its 11. Nurse at RE's office was so unhelpful when i told her. My hormones are clearly messed up and its frustrating. well I guess the bcp they are giving me for a month will help settle that. Would love to know what is going on though.

Were you on progesterone? That can delay your period.

I have also heard of Clomid making the luteal phase longer. I don't know if that is true or not, but I have seen people mention it before.

I'm sorry the nurse was unhelpful. I hate that!
