i think we almost have our boy and girls names picked out (We aren't finding out the sex). 2 questions:

Girl name will be Layla Rose or Laila Rose...having a hard time deciding on spelling, any thoughts?

Boy name will be either Luke Michael or Luke Anthony...which do you like better? TIA!

First names are definite, so no need to tell me if you hate them

I prefer Layla or Leila--I've never seen it spelled Laila, and I think people might mispronounce it.

Vote #2 is for Luke Anthony.

I love Luke, it was our runner up name to Gabriel for our son.

IDK which Layla/Laila spelling is more common. Apparently Laila is a variant of Layla, so maybe the one with the 'y'. The only reason I hesitate is that y's are so trendy right now.

If this baby is a girl, her name will be Layla. We tossed around Leyla, Laila & Leila. But DH wants the traditional spelling of Layla since both our girls have normal spellings. I am not fond of the name Rose, but to each their own!

I like Luke Michael better.

I think more people will pronounce it correctly if you use Layla. I usually prefer Michael to Anthony but I think Luke Anthony has a better ring to it.

I prefer Leila, as pp said. Otherwise I choose Layla.

I think Layla is more intuitive for spelling/pronunciation so I'd go with that.

And I don't think I can make a choice about Michael versus Anthony. I like both of them equally.

I like it spelled of Layla. I would stay away from spelling it Leila as some posters have said as an alt spelling because in my mind the i is making the e long so it sounds like (Lee-la) imo at least. Love the name Layla btw so pretty. I am not sure on the boy names I think I would have to roll them around my head a bit more to make a choice but I am leaning towards Luke Anthony.

I prefer the Leila spelling, or Layla. Laila, to me, isn't a legitimate spelling, so if it is solely between those two: Layla for sure!

And Luke Anthony has a better flow IMO.
