Spotting or really light af?

I use a mobile version of ff to track things even tho I'm on pill and not ttc. I basically just track af. Anyways I posted below about how I only take active pills to try to avoid af doc knows and prescribed this pill accordingly. Haven't had anything since end of Oct and now over the last few weeks I've had various shades of brown spotting not every time I wipe just random throughout day and sometimes a day of red. Well now I've switched to using a tampon cuz I saw more red but its not even very heavy like would obv be af. Not sure if I should still count this as spotting or switch to light af? I could get away with a liner but its just a bit more messy and gross feeling tho tampon feels a bit "dry" in there, like my body notices it, for lack of a better description. Also if this is just spotting, how long should I be okay with it going on before I call doc or something? Tia.
