At my appt this week my MW asked if we knew boy or girl, then said "if it ends up being a boy, do you want him circumcised?" I was like, ummmm "if it's a boy?! If it's a boy, he's going to be wearing a whole lot of pink!!!"
So...DH and I are considering an elective ultrasound to make sure before my shower when we add more to the pink stash. I know that even with an 19 week ultrasound it's not definite, but man, that question threw me for a loop! I have an appt on the 7th, I'm going to talk to the MW about it then.
Anyone else worried about the A/S being wrong?
Re: "If it's a boy..." Oh heck no!
This. My doctor asked me "if it was a girl, did you have a name picked?". I took that as he was curious. I wouldn't put much stock in it...or pay for another scan.
MH is concerned, but I have growth ultrasounds every 4 weeks so they have checked every time since 19 weeks and they are both still girls.
I will say my friend was told at 20 weeks it was a girl and then at 28 it was a boy. She had a boy in January.
That is definitely the exception, though. I know in the past we have been team green and my OBs have always said they don't even write it on the chart, so I'm guessing your midwife was just making sure you have everything planned just in case.
