C-sections

Normal Pants?

For those of you farther post c-section than me, how long did it take you to get back into regular pants or jeans? I'm nearly 3 weeks out and still wearing yoga or sweat pants :) My incision and the area around it are still a little tender, sore, and tingly (though I know the tingling/numbness may not go away for a long time). Did you just wear mat. pants in the meantime if you had to go somewhere yoga pants were not acceptable? Wink Thanks!

  • I wore maternity pants or a dress for about two months after the c-section.

  • I wear mat jeans but my mat work pants are crazy big on me.  I'm squeezing into my pre preg work pants.  They are all higher then my incision, but target has these great jersey pants that come in black and I can rock those at work with some heels.
  • I didn't try to put on regular pants until I went back to work.

  • I wore regular jeans about 4 weeks out but they were really irritating after a few hours.  All of my maternity pants were giant on me and I felt super sloppy in them.  10 weeks out now and I can wear all of my pants without issue.

  • I am 8 months out and I can only wear real pants for a few hours

  • I'm almost 3 weeks PP as well and I started wearing some of my prepregnancy jeans about 1 1/2 PP. However, I started by using the ponytail holder like in pregnancy on the button to keep it looser on my incision. I also wear a Bella band underneath my jeans to cover the incision. So far it seems to help and the jeans don't bother the incision.

  • Approximately 11 weeks until my pre-preggo jeans/pants fit.  I just wore yoga pants/sweats.  If I had to go somewhere... black leggings.  Comfort is key!

11months and this. I live in Jammies at home.

  • I wouldn't even think about jeans for about two months -- maybe dress pants or something higher-waisted a bit sooner, but jeans are scary to me for a while, especially any cute skinny jeans. :)

I will probably even make black yoga pants and a nice sweater work for Easter.

  • I have almost lost all of the weight through breastfeeding 6 weeks after but am still too sensitive in the incision area to wear normal pants. Leggings are the ONLY thing I wear so THANK YOU PP for the belly band under the jeans idea, I am dying to wear normal pants again and will try this out ;)
  • I wore mat. Shorts for about 2-3 months after because my incision was so sore and I didn't want to buy "fat pants" lol
  • I wanna say it was 6 weeks after, but i cant do it all the time its strange. some days its fine, other days im sore.
