My LO is 6 months old and we just started feeding her solids. Wondering how many times a day is typical to feed them once you start on solids. So far we've been doing it once a day but wondering if I should up that?
My LO is almost 9 months and still only gets fed solids once a day. She's only just gotten the hang of eating solids in the last two weeks though. Anyway, she's still completely uninterested in dinner - we immediately start our bedtime routine when we get home from daycare at 6pm. We keep saying we'll do breakfast, but most mornings we have to wake her up to get ready to leave, and there just isn't time. I think we'll have daycare introduce breakfast, if she's interested.
At 7m, DD gets 3 solid meals per day, which makes me feel like I'm conatantly feeding her. The pedi wants her to pork up a bit, so that might be why they suggested 3 meals instead of 2 or 1.
I follow the Baby Bullet book. At 6 months when we started we did 1 a day for the first two weeks. After that we've upped it to twice a day. I believe having flipped through the book some it stays like that for awhile. Right now my LO eats maybe 2oz (the occasional 4oz when I feed her her favorite, Avocado) at 9ish & 3ish.
LO is 7 months. She gets about 3 oz of solids in the am (around brunch time) 1 oz cereal and 2 oz fruit and then 2-3oz of veggies in the evening. She has a 6 oz bottle every 3 hours during the day for 30 oz and she mostly STTN.

DD is getting mostly chunky purees and soft solid foods. 3 meals, plus snacks. From the moment she got solid food in her mouth she was a go-getter. The thicker, the better. We added cereal to her purees because they were not thick enough for her. Now at almost 9 months, she is totally ready for big kid food. Definitely take LOs cues and if she wants more as soon as the spoon stops, then it's a good sign they are interested and want more.
For my little man...I only knew you in my heart.

Jack will be 8 months old tomorrow and I feed him solids all throughout the day. He didn't start solids until 6 months. Unbeknownst to me, he was ready long before because when I started, he kept wanting more and more. So I transitioned from the different stages and now at 8 months be is up to approximately 30 oz. of formula and about 3 meals throughout the day and about 5 snack-times in between. Many of the snack-time is an "experimental" time for him as well as give me a chance to cook/clean the kitchen.
My little man is 6 months. He has been eating two meals a day since 5 months. He eats 3 tbsp of oatmeal around 11ish and 2 oz of a veggie at 5ish. We are going to start fruit today. He nurses in the morning around 6, and gets 2 BM bottles at the sitter. I feed him again around 4:00 and 7:30 for bedtime. He was saying, "mmmmm" and really watching us when we ate dinner, so we knew he was ready for foods. We make all our own food and he loves eating
