Are your babies drinking out of bottles or sippy cups right now? At this age DS was only drinking out of sippy's. I've been trying to get DD to transfer but she is refusing!! Just wondering where everyone else was on this?
Mine drinks out of both. I really need to start transitioning her to more sippy then the bottle. I like to get rid of the bottles at 12 months. This mama is tired of washing.
Matt takes a bottle first thing in the morning and then right before bed.. He loves drinking his formula from a cup with a straw, so I am trying to let him drink his other "bottles" out of the cup all the other times. So far, he hates all sippy's. We've tried a bunch.
I am hoping to have him down to just those two actual bottles by the end of the month, when he is 10 months old.
I have no idea, however, which bottle to get rid of next. The first one in the morning? or before bed?
Decisions, decisions....

We do sippy cup for BM since LO is on a nursing strike. We use the sippy cups for the BM bc then I know she can drink all of it. We also use the straw cups for water. I would use the straw ones for the BM but for some reason she has a tough time getting the rest bc the straw isn't long enough.
DS has been drinking solely from straw cups for a month now. (Occasionally from a water bottle or with lots of help from a regular glass/cup if those are all I have handy.)
I lucked out with DS, and I know it! I'm sure my next child will give me a much harder time, just to make up for how easy DS was with this particular situation. He took forever to get used to a sippy (tipping it just didnt seem to come to him?), but he took to a straw sippy within a few days of trying the Playtex Little Gripper.
He's now graduated to bigger straw cups, and one day about a month ago, I just decided to try out of curiosity and give him his formula in a straw cup. He sucked it down like usual, no problem. I tried again the next day for all of his formula feedings, and voila, somehow, right before 9 months old, he was off of bottles for good. Kind of freaked me out, because I had heard that weaning off of bottles was difficult. So I know I lucked out!
He's also down to only 3 formula feedings (8 oz, 6 oz & 8 oz= 22 oz total. Sometimes even 18oz or 20oz, depending on how he feels that day.) He kind of worked himself down to that over the past few weeks of being on the straw cup. (At his 9 month appt, he was still taking between 24- 28oz a day. He's a chunky monkey. [24lbs11oz, and 28 1/2 in at his 9 month appt].

DS is drinking out of sippys now. Daycare decided to transition him off of the bottle. I'm not thrilled honestly because he won't take a bottle now and he plays with his sippy's so it's hard to get breast milk into him. Oh well.
