Toddler gloves/mittens?

Any suggestions for a brand that they cannot easily pull off? DS is great about his hat but pulls his mittens off right away. Since I don't drive and we walk everywhere he is outside a lot, and his hands are freezing when we get inside. It doesn't seem to bug him (he won't keep his hands under his fleece in the stroller), but I would be more comfortable if he had gloves, especially when we are at the playground for a while.

 Any thoughts?

Re: Toddler gloves/mittens?

  • I have some ski mitts made by Scott for DD that have a zipper across the back of the hand so you can really get his hand lined up before zipping them in and then they have velcro at the wrist.  They're called Scott Micro-mitts, I believe.

  • I just bought Kate the thin knit gloves/mittens.  I got them at Rugged Bear ($2 a pair!) but I think Old Navy and H&M also sell them.  they are not the warmest things ever (far from it) but they are thin so she keeps them on.  The gloves are a biatch to get on a squirming kid, so we usually go with the mittens because we only have to deal with the thumb rather than all 5 fingers.
