Is there much difference in fleece and wool covers? I'm looking for overnight for a 2 year old... does fleece have to be cared for like wool lanolized etc?
Fleece does not have to be lanolized. It can be washed and dried with the rest of your diapers. I personally prefer fleece, but I think I'm in the minority on this board. I will say you don't get quite as nice of a fit with fleece soakers, as the legs can gap a little, but that's never led to leaks for us. I like that fleece is super cheap and easy to care for, yet still breathable. We use it on DD nearly every night, since I'm not very good at keeping up with caring for our wool stuff.

I tried fleece out briefly. My basic reaction was "HOW IS THIS A COVER?" It obviously works for some but not for my heavy wetter during the day much more than regular clothes and definitely not overnight.
Re: wool vs. fleece
Wool and fleece are not the same. As you know wool has to be handwashed and lanolized to be useful.
Fleece on the other hand can be washed and dried normally, and unlike wool it must be washed after each use.
Hope that helps!
