It's fine as long as I'm awake but the second I fall asleep my mouth becomes extremely dry. So bad that it wakes me up several times a night for a drink of water. I don't feel thirsty, just like I need to wet my mouth. I've read that this could be a sign of GD, does anyone know? I go in for my GTT friday. TIA.
Re: is dry mouth a sign?
Possibly if you are thirsty and drinking a lot of water.
It's also winter and dry depending on where you live. And the extra fluid we are carrying around might mean you are breathing through your mouth at night. Try a humidifier!
I've kept a glass of water by my bed for months now, because I am constantly waking up with dry mouth/thirsty. I don't have GD and haven't had any signs of labor or anything like that. I also drink a ton of water during the day (even pre-pregnancy) so, yeah, I'm just taking it as a sign of pregnancy and nothing else.
