DS has been babbling for a long time now, but just last week he started with "da da da da." Now when he will often go from babbling in a regular voice to singing/screeching, so it sounds like, "da da da DA DA DA DA!" He hits such high notes, he could almost be the new lead singer for ACDC.

DS is so proud of himself that he can finally get a hold of the dogs tail!  He creeps up behind him while he's chewing his bone, grabs his tail and looks at me like "I got him, mom!"  Thankfully the dog doesn't mind!!

I also love listening to him sing!  He always sings into his bottle when he's finished like it's his microphone   Takes after his mommy!

DS loves to talk to his stuffed animals and the critters I have painted on his walls. So most often you wake up to hearing him sing and talk. Then when you walk in there, because he has figured out how to pull up in the crib (heaven help me!), he flashes you the biggest smile as if to say "Come and get me Mama!!" Makes having to wake up at 3:40am a little more bearable...hehehehe!!!

DD has only been crawling for about a week.  Yesterday she crawled over to me, grabbed the collar of my shirt and pulled herself up to standing.  I was speechless - it was just so awesome.  Watching this little girl grow is mind blowing

DD has one of those toys that she can walk behind and she was super excited to be able to push it and get where she wants much quicker than crawling. She also had on a pink tutu that her granny got her so she kind of looked like Ace Ventura in Pet Detective when he went to the center for the mentally ill pretending to be a football player or whatever. All she was missing was the boots and crazy hair.

 

LOL, my son had the crazy Ace Ventura hair just the other day. We were just missing the tutu!

I love when Jack laughs at our cat, Cookie. For some reason, he thinks just the sight of her is hysterical. He laughs and laughs and nearly stands on his head to get her attention. And she wants absolutely nothing to do with him. It's pretty funny.

That's hilarious. DD tries to sneak up on them too. She can usually only surprise the old one because she's 11 and I think going deaf and/or blind. 

DS Likes to approach the dog crawling fast head on and our dog has his signals crossed and growls when he's happy and really want to play (he's a chocolate lab, not dangerous but 80lbs and super tall) . . . terrifies our visitors to no end. They get along great and love playing with each other or eating together but I feel like I spend my life making sure they are both okay and no one gets hurt or mad. Love dogs, love kids, combination worries me even with the nicest dogs.

I've spent the past 5 days at home with my little guy. When he is crawling around, he comes over to me and tries to pull up on my legs. When I pick him up he squeezes me around the neck!
I melt.

Also, I made slutty brownies today! Got the idea from a thread on the parenting board. Delicious!

DD will give "kisses" on my cheek and she will do it on her own throughout the day. She snuggles her head right into my shoulder, kicks her feet in excitement and then latched on my cheek for a huge slobbery "kiss". She will occasionally do this to DH but mainly with me ! I just melt and swear life can't get better than this :

I love the kisses! Dd has not done that yet and I can't wait!

Today dd tried to give me her pacifier. It was so cute! Dh asked if she was trying to shut me up. Haha.

Same with my LO!! Hew new favorite thing to do is crawl from the sheet we have spread out on the floor (with all of her toys on it) to the dogs bed and then pet/pull on him....  Really have to be careful though because she also is very curious about his toys LOL
