Ok, So I work at a daycare center and my assistant director's son touched my stomach and said, "Baby". His Aunt is pregnant so there is a possibility that he thinks everyone has a baby in their belly seeing he's only 2. But believe it or not that morning I woke up feeling sick. I didn't throw up but I did gag. I've been having some symptoms like feeling tired, certain foods/smells that I used to love make me gag, and a heightened sense of smell. My husband and I have been talking about when we want to start trying but we haven't started due to his new job, I have a recital in June and some other prior engagements along the way. AF was late last month by about 5 days and I had taken a test but it came up negative.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? Should I take another one? I don't want to get my hopes up and end up disappointed either. That has happened to us before.

Re: Children's Intuition?
It is impossible to get your period if you are pregnant. Your period is your uterine lining shedding. If your uterine lining shed while you were pregnant, the pregnancy would not survive. Your friends may have had spotting/bleeding that they mistaked for their periods, but they did not get their periods while they were pregnant.
To answer your original question, I would not take another test. You got your period, you are not pregnant.

And ditto the others who said don't waste more tests since you already got AF.
Back when I had short hair, a three year old confused me for a boy, and when I tried to correct him he actually argued it with me.
Still waiting for the day I become a real boy over here.

It is *possible* but highly unlikely to have partial periods during a pregnancy. Where some but not all of the lining is removed usually due to low hormone levels or ovulating late in your cycle. But back to the initial question I wouldn't get my hopes up. Wait for your next cycle and it is late test again. Unless you are just dyeing with anticipation that you think you could be and then take a dollar test.
