Today DH FINALLY ADMITS to having the flu. Yesterday he spend 75 of his life in the bathroom but was still in denial. I'm so mad and scared! I know he didn't do it in purpose, but I have three preemies living here! I'm going to bleach everything I can, forbid his contact with the babies, and continue breAstfeeding.

For those of you on mobiles, my babies are 4 months actual, born st 31 weeks. We have a strict hand washing policy, lockdown at the house. IF I get the flu, do I continue to breastfeed through it? Any other words of wisdom?

No advice, but i'm going through the same thing here with twins, a sick dh, and two.other sick kids (maybe not the.flu, but sick)...my.mother is here from out of town.and.insists on kissing babies on the face, and i.woke up.today with a sore throat. It.sucks...and.is.scary and i.am.sorry youbhave tondeal with it.too.

My friend says its a stomach bug, not influenza. Lots of stomach and bathroom issues yesterday. Today the stomach is better but he is achy, fevered, and has a headache. How long do I limit his contact with the babies? Seven days post symptom seems Like forever. And PPmy mom is here to help. Thank god

Just a hopeful story to share, recently DH had the stomach flu, I came down with it 12 hr later, the nanny even caught it, and neither of our twins got even the slightest problem. I was nursing the whole time and I think that made all the difference (when I was sick DH was slightly better and would bring the babies to me to nurse while I was laying in bed).So even though it was us taking care of them both right before and after we were sick, they were fine.I've heard that nursing is most effective at preventing stomach bugs because the good antibodies go difrectly to the stomach/gut where they are needed.
