Update on my crazy life..

Well, I went in on Friday after my beta of 129 on Monday (from 21) and got the call it was a 644!  They told me to plan on coming back this coming Friday for one more bloodtest before ultrasound (he wants it 1500 for u/s).  After calling my entire family (that knew) and friends to celebrate..... I stood up from the couch to go pee and as I sat down a small blod clot dropped. After that I started bleeding terribly just like I had done 2 weeks ago for 2.5 days.  My husband had to go buy me overnight pads and I was filling them and passing huge gel like clots within a few hours.  (Keep in mind I usually use light tampons for normal AF).   Called my RE (after hours) and at first he was still optimistic saying this can happen and be OK. But then he asked if they told me my progesterone level.  They told me what Monday's was and it was a 2.36.  I did not have the number from yesterday and he didn't either as he was home.  He said that did not sound good and that he hated to turn pessimistic but he really felt like it doesn't look good, especially since yesterday I was 6 weeks with a beta that is still low (Even though it doubled twice and then some...only needed 516).  Told me to go ahead and stop meds.  I woke up this morning after changing my pad before bed last night and nothing was there.  I have been up for 2.5 hours now and still haven't passed anything or bled.  Just some red spotting on toilet paper.  Some people are asking why he had me stop meds and at this point I honestly don't know what to think.  I feel like something is terribly wrong so maybe it's just as well... I just don't know.  I thought the road of IF and getting pregnant was hard...never dreamed we'd be riding this roller coaster for 3 weeks....at least I know I can get pregnant.

    I am so sorry you are going through this. I don't think he should of told you to stop your meds until an u/s. I just had a bleeding episode Monday. My T&P's are with you. Please keep us updated.






          


     TTC since 9/10 consult 1/12 All testing came back fine Diagnosed with Unexplained infertility -3 medicated IUI's All BFN IVF - ER 11/14 24R, 15M, 13F ET 11/19, BETA 11/28 BFFN --Next step FET in Jan ET scheduled for 1/24. Beta #1 350 Beta #2 735. U/S Hell. miscarriage D&C at 9weeks. FET #2 ET 5/28 cancelled FET# 2.5 6/26 ET Beta 7/5 302 7/7 Beta #2 632 Everyone welcome

    Thinking of you. Hopefully this will pass and everything will be okay...

    **TTC #1 Sep 2009-Feb 2013**   Me: 33 DH: 32 (healthy, SA = normal)

    DX (May 2010) = Lap #1 showed Stage I-II endometriosis. HSG normal. Tx with 6 mo Lupron (which did nothing...) Lap #2 June 2011 to remove endo, uterine fibroid, and polyp

    IUI #1-#3 (July-Sep 2011): All Clomid 50 mg + unmonitored IUI = All BFN

    October 2011 - April 2012: Outta $$$ (no insurance coverage) = back to tryin' on our own

    May 2012 - August 2012: Mental break from trying

    October 2012: New OB. Bloodwork normal aside from slightly low progesterone

    November 2012: IUI #4: Letrozole 2.5 mg + Novarel trigger + monitored IUI + progesterone = BFN

    IVF #1: Long Lupron Protocol,Menopur,Follistim, ER = 2/12/13 27R/26M/23F

    2/17/13 Transferred 1 perfect Grade 1 blast. 17 frostbabies.

    HPT 7dp5dt: BFP!!! Beta #1 9dp5dt: 108 Beta #2 11dp5dt: 368

    U/S #1 3/21: Heartbeat and one perfect bean!!  DS born 11/6/13 via c-section


    TTC #2 March - August 2015 = all BFNs

    Prep for FET #1: Aug 2015: found "mass" in uterus on saline sonogram; scheduled a hysteroscopy to remove. 

    Sept 2015: Hysteroscopy: mass turned out to be scar tissue(?), all removed. Recheck saline sonogram 2 weeks later showed "stuff" still in uterus (more scar tissue? remnants from surgery? Will see if clears with a period). Recheck saline sonogram 1 week later: all clear! Start Lupron and Estrace. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining only 5mm, add in patches. Follow up u/s 1 week later: uterine lining = 4.3mm (argh!), stop estrace and patches and start estradiol injections twice/week. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining = 5mm :/ Instructed to keep on estradiol injections and recheck in 5 days = lining still at 5mm. Need to make a decision - go for it? Or toss in the towel w/ this cycle and start all over again next year with a new protocol. Decided to go for it as we had 17 frosties; what have we got to lose?? 

    12/2/15 = transferred 1 perfect Grade B blast

    12/9/15 = HPT - BFP!!!!

    Beta #1 12/11/15: 236    Beta #2  12/14/15: 503   Please stick little one!!!!

    U/S scheduled for week of 1/4/16

    I went to the bathroom and urinated and noticed blood in the toilet and urinated again half hr later same thing then called RE they told me to come in right away and started me on PIO and did an u/s at 5w. When I went home I was having severe cramping on and off for 3 days but the bleeding turned to brown and the cramps slowed down. I didn't fill up a pad but it was hard to calculate because it seemed to happen when I sat on the toilet nor did I pass any clots.

    Did your RE have you come in when you called?

    I passed about 10 clots last night. And bled sitting on the couch or standing up. Not just on the toilet. No he said bloodwork Monday, u/s tues/wed if it went up again

    I absolutely hate that you are going through this. So now that you have stopped the meds what is your RE havi g you do next? Ugh.....IF sucks!  Hang in there sweetie!

    so sorry you are going through this.  i am really surprised your dr didn't give you a u/s to check for something-- even like i said before an ectopic!  after 3 weeks of torture i would probably find a new RE honestly

    What a roller coaster.  I hope you get answers soon.  Are you still on your meds or did you stop them?

    I have to agree with CousinVicki, I think your RE should have done a scan to make sure it's not ectopic. I'm really sorry you have to go through this. I hope it's over soon.

    My mom didn't have IF issues, but she bled a lot with my sister in the first trimester. Her Dr wouldn't give her anything to prevent miscarrying because he told her to let nature take its course. My sister is healthy, smart and beautiful. GL

    I know there is nothing anyone can say to make this better, but I just wanted to say how very sorry I am you are going through this torture. You have certainly been put through the IF ringer these past few weeks. I really hope your story has a happy ending. Hang in there and GL!!!

     Me (34)- no issues found MH (36)- MFI due to Vericocele. Straight to IVF w/ICSI 9/12, Antagonist. 9R, 7M, 5F = BFN c/p,  New RE for IVF #2- 1/13., Long Lupron. ER on 1/22 -10R, 9M, 9F. Transfer on hold due to overstimming. FET in Feb. 2 frozen blasts. Another BFN & another c/p. RPL testing all negative besides MTHFR gene, vericocle repair surgery 4/12/13-Bilateral Grade 3 Vericocele found & fixed, IVF #3 with PGS  4/13- 11R, 9M, 9F. Transferred 2 normal=BFN, 3 normal on ice. CCRM-here we come! ODWU-All test results normal. EPP in August. 21R, 20M, 19F. 12 blasts biopsied & frozen for CCS testing. Results showed 11 normal! FET Oct. 30. 2 5d 4AA blasts transferred. First ever BFP!!! Beta 1=216, Beta 2=870 1st U/S=It's TWINS!!! It's a BOY and a GIRL!! Everyone Welcome!!!

    I agree he should've done the scan. I went in after bleeding and they did a scan just to see if they saw any abnormal areas in my uterus. They were not able to find any bleeding so we could both be relieved all was okay.

    Omg, what a terrible roller coaster for you. Still holding it hope! Why in the world was your progesterone 2.36? 
    Me: 37, DH: 38: ttc 7 years, dx: unknown
    10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
    11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid & normal hsg),
    12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s, 1/12: D&C
    6/12 IUI#1-IUI #3: clomid = BFP!, C/P
    IVF #1(10/12) FSH 5.4, AFC: 16 long Lupron, 5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast/1-8 cell transferred=BFN
    IVF #2(12/12)AFC 21, MD lupron, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast and 2-8cell. BFN.
    IVF#3(4/13) Natural start antagon protocol, 12R,11F. one PGS normal at day 6 transfer. BFN.
    IVF#4 (11/13) C.CRM (ODW.U normal 8/13 Still no Diagnosis) EPP/antagonist. ER 13R/7M/6F. Only 1 made it to freeze. Abnormal. Looking into options of DE, Fresh vs frozen.
    10/14 new local RE to look into what's next. CD3 FSH 4.7, AMH 0.9. Met with DE agencies and exploring options for feb/march 2015.
    Surprise natural bfp (4 days before donor is signed). Beta #1 at 9dpo: 51.8, 2nd beta: 195 (25 hours doubling) @11dpo. 3rd beta (12/15): 516 (35 hrs doubling) 4th beta(12/17): 895 (58 hours doubling) 5th beta(12/19): 2120. U/S at 5w0d(12/22): one gestational sac with yolk sac. U/S #2 (6w0d)12/29. One little bean measuring 6w0d with HR 124. 3rd u/s(1/4)7w0d: baby measuring 7w2d. HR 134. 3/30: A/S at MFM went great except for low lying placenta. Verifi results are normal! Team Blue! Please send any positive thoughts our way! EDD:8/24/2015

    I am so sorry but please DO NOT STOP MEDS!!! Stopping meds if there is a chance that this pregnancy is viable can do the pregnancy harm. Honestly, since they did not do an ultra sound yet they don't know if their is a vanishing twin (sorry, I cant see your siggy as to how many you transferred). Please keep the meds going until they confirm one way or another. I know this is so difficult but I would hate for you to have to second guess yourself on stopping meds.

    I pray this works out for you and I am so sorry you are in this position.

    ETA I had a bleeding episode that made the ambulance that came to get me think I was stabbed. I lost a lot of blood. The pants i was wearing was covered from by pelvic to my knees in blood within 20 minutes of putting them on and he triplets were fine (up until 20 weeks). I was 6 weeks pregnant at the time and had an SCH that was bigger than the three babies put together.
    TTC 1/2010 DH Dx - Azoospermia 2/2011
    Hysteroscopy 3/2011 2 Polyps removed 4/2011
    DH on Clomid / Arimidex to address hormonal issues - Sperm found July 2011!
    IVF #1 September 2011 - ER 9/8/2011- 8R, 5M - icsi - 1 made it to transfer - BFFN :-(
    IVF #2 Lucky November 2011 - ER 11/25/2011 - 15 eggs!, 13 mature, 10 fertilized with isci - 7 made it to transfer! Transferred 1 - 8 cell and 2 - 7 cell. BFP!!!!
    1st U/S - Twins! 2nd U/S - 3 heartbeats!!! - HOLY COW!!!

    2 babies born on 3/27/12 and lost. Last baby born on 3/29/12 and lost at 20 weeks.
