I have a transabdominal cerclage so going into labor is NOT a good thing for me. I was having regular contractions starting at 4:30am Monday morning and the call was made by 10 am to deliver us. Baby A was born at 11:36am via c/s and Baby B at 11:37am.
I had an extreme blood pressure drop after the spinal was adminstered and was really sick for a minute until the anesthesiologist gave me something to raise it up. It was a very frightening experience! It turns out it was a REALLY good thing we delivered because my uterus was extremely thin and about to rupture! The OB told me later that not much scares her but my uterus did. She said it was so see through she could see the babies parts!
Baby A was 5lb2oz and 17 3/4" . She did not cry right away and took a really long time to pink up. She was sent to NICU and intubated within a very short time. She was extubated around 48h and is on low flow cannula. She is still there and will likely come home sometime next week. She's dropped down to 4lb12oz but is finally getting pumped BM by bottle. She is so strong.
Baby B was 5lb15oz and 18.5" She cried right away and pinked up and came with us to recovery. Out of 3 living babies, she is our "normal experience" baby. We got to do skin to skin and breastfeed in recovery and she latched on like a champ. She is my booby baby and is so sweet and quiet. We were discharged Thursday and she had no NICU time.
Ready for my Baby A to come home!!!!! Thanks for all the support during a tough pregnancy!
