  • My only advice is to be patient with yourself.  It will be hard but you will be okay.  And DD will be great!

  • Get your clothes and work items and DD clothes and daycare items all packed and ready to go tonight.  Give yourself plenty of extra time to get ready tomorrow.  It will be hard for the first few weeks.  Don't feel bad about crying.  It will get easier.  Your DD will get into a routine and make friends.  You will get into your routine and realize it's kind of nice to be in the adult world again.  You will discover that you look forward to weekends even more than you used toSmile

ditto. and I'd add try to plan something 'fun' tomorrow, even if just a lunch out with coworkers to give yourself something to break the day up.

    Just hang in there!!

  • Ditto trigirl and madhatter.

And post if you need a pick me up - we've all been there before!

  • ditto pp, esp. about planning a fun event.

Also, in my experience the anticipation of going back was actually much worse than the reality of it.  This may not help now, but know that tomorrow may not be as bad as you think it will today.

    GL!

  • Take it one day at a time.  Know that tomorrow is going to be really really hard but that it will get easier, just give it time.  call once or twice to check on your DD.  Bring lots of pictures to work.  Ease back into work.  Get everything ready the night before to make your mornings easier.  Know that your child is safe and happy.  KNow that she will need time to adjust too.  Her eating and sleeping might be off for a bit and that she will act differently at daycare than she does at home.  Take time at drop off and pick up to really talk to the staff.
