You can see my history in my sig. I was active in June/July until about July 4th when my Dad drown in his swimming pool. He was in the hospital for about 3 weeks but has made a full recovery which everyone now calls him miracle man as the docs didn't think he would survive (he was clinically dead...heart stopped at least twice in the early days of hospitalization). I was very active during my Oct cycle, but that ended in m/c at 7 weeks and after that kick in the gut I needed a break. Recently started posting again since I thought we would cycle in March, however, I just got results of my RPL panel back and they were not good. Which leads me to posting here since I think IF would not know about NK cells and Protein S deficiency.
So for the Protein S deficiency my RE here at home recommends baby asprin and heprin. The NK cells my RE is saying that I should see a specialist because it is over his head and isn't sure what the proper treatment protocol is. He went into how it's "fringe medicine" and a lot of people don't believe in it but he's willing to treat if I can find a doc that knows how to treat. Now my RE in SC where the IVF is done doesn't believe in any of this and will not treat even the protein s.
So now I am at a crossroads. We paid for 2 cycles with the SC-RE so we were just starting our 2nd cycle there. Retrieval was set for March but I am wondering if I should just cancel the cycle and get what money I can back from Attain. (It would probably be about 5k). Do we just go ahead and cycle knowing we have these issues and not treat them? If we treat, what doctor do we go see? Dr. Br.aver.man in NY? Dr. Kw.ack Ki.m in Chicago?
Anybody on this board have this issue? Any insight?
Thanks for reading this novel and any help you might give.

Re: Intro if you'll have me/? if it's not time yet
That sucks about the nk cells my RE found that in me from the very beginning of my first IVF last year and he treated me with a intralipid infusion. It is given through a iv and takes about two hours. He said that it cures the nk cells 100 percent for up to 12 weeks after the infusion. That's all I know about it and wanted to pass along the info I know. Hopefully you can find someone to treat you for that at least and maybe stay with your current RE since you already paid him . Good luck with everything!

I am sorry about your losses too. I don't know much about your specific condition, but I wanted to echo what PP said and I wouldn't cycle unless you have all of your testing done. That gives you the best chance possible for success.
Good luck!

I'm sorry for your losses.
I am unclear from your own description whether or not you've been actively posting on the IF Board for a total of 6 months. Could you please clarify? I, unfortunately, don't recognize you at all, but I must admit that I have a hard time remembering posters that don't have unique pictures in their signatures.
3/22 ER: 25R, 20M, 15F. 9 genetically normal, and 3 survived to Day 5
3/27 ET: transferred 1 embryo, beta 9dp5dt=163, 12dp5dt=639
4/25 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks = identical twins with heartbeats?!!!
I have been posted on and off since June 2012. Like I said it's fine if it's not time yet. I had a question on immune issues and knew that IF really wouldn't know much about that.
Thanks to those that answered. Meg good luck at Kwak Kim in March. I'll be looking for your update.
