"Team" Check in - daily and weekly?

I like that link below but is everyone going to post the same thing daily? Probably not, even though it was fun to read through today.

I was thinking maybe we do:

1) a daily check in for people who had their A/S or elective ultrasound to find out the sex that day or just hadn't posted yet and want to share.

2) a weekly poll (like we did last week) that kinda tallies where we are and if it changed much from the previous week.  Not that I know how to create a poll myself haha.

Thoughts?

ETA: OH and I totally get people wanting their own post or "moment"!   I actually don't really mind reading them all...just thought some people liked the idea of the link a little ways down and I didn't think that that would work daily (ie I'm probably not posting "I'm finding out on 3/1" everyday)

Re: "Team" Check in - daily and weekly?

  • I like the idea of condensing, but at the same time, I think that like BFP post everyone wants their own special snowflake sex reveal post.

So, while I get wanting to cut down on it, as you can see its not going to cut down on people making their own post the minute they know. I find it repetitive, but I don't exactly blame them for wanting their time in the sun either.

Put it right up there with weight posts, glucose tests posts, shower posts and other common second trimester posts. Repetitive, but just like the schmooze [My Little Pony reference anyone?] nothing can stop it!

  • A daily check it might be good, if you do it weekly people will still be excited and want to share that day so it defeats the purpose.

  • I may be in the minority but I really like reading these "it's a ..." posts.  I like to hear details about the A/S and just the overall excitement.  I wish more people would add ultrasound pictures though!!!
