Just an open question, what are your LO's drawing?
My 3.5 year old is suddenly extremely interested in drawing diagrams... like... today he drew his interpretation of my husband's boiler heating system diagram? It was pretty accurate to the simplified diagram he saw in DH's work book.
He's never drawn people really (just smiley faces), or trees, flowers the like..but he loves drawing shapes and numbers and letters (he can write a few words), and now diagrams?
Re: Just curious about toddler drawing/writing..
Yea he's always drawing shapes & letters, it's his "thing". Here are some letters he drew the other day.. he wrote "Send" though it's kinda hard to figure out:
DD still scribbles when she wants to but she tends to draw a lot of people and rockets. She draws people she knows from family and friends but she also draws characters on tv (her fave is Dave from Imagination Movers...she'll even add details like his red hat.)
She can write letters and numbers (not all of them but some of them.) She can write words -- her name, mom, dad, etc.
Ws. The letter. She's obsessed with Ws. She also has me write them whenever I'm in her vicinity when she's coloring or with her bath crayons every night.
Otherwise she just scribbles.
