Could it be? Teething already??

My LO just turned 8 weeks yesterday and has been extra drooly lately and has been gnawing on his hands and fingers (which - btw - is an awesome new development during this current wonder week!!). Could he possibly be teething already??

  • It's possible, but seems pretty early for that.

  • DS is also a drool monster and loves gnawing on his hands.  He had his 2 month visit today and his dr didn't see any teeth about to erupt and said that he is probably just early in the mouthing phase.
  • Yes, those are signs for teething, but it can take months for any teeth to actual show up. DS had been doing that so I did a lot of research! ;)

  • Could be, but could also just have found his hands.  Both of my big kids did this around 9 weeks, but didn't get teeth until 9months and 10.5 months.

  • My dd is 9 weeks and has been having the same symptoms.  I was wondering the same thing!

  • My LO is 7 weeks and has the same symptoms. I am pretty sure I'm seeing tooth buds in his mouth! Seems way too early...going to ask the pedi this week at his 2 month appt.
  • DD#1 was the same way and the pedi said it was teething.  I was shocked, but its not like the teeth popped out the next day.  She got teeth at 4 months.
