I can get through this right?

Oh my does this weird stomach feeling every go away? I don't know how to describe it. I can't figure out if I am nausea's or what. Actually it feels like I am hung over 24 hours a day. I am not throwing up but man do I wish I could sometimes. I have had to take zofran and dramamine everyday which =  constipation :(.  I know my husband cooking chicken every night is not what my nose wants.  I have woken up almost every night with my stomach growling so I go eat a cracker at 2 am. I don't know how much longer I can take this.

Thanks for letting me vent :)

Re: I can get through this right?

  • I think the majority of us know exactly how you feel!  If we are the lucky ones, it will go away come 2nd trimester!!  It did for me last time, I hope it is the same this time around!

  • I have the same thing every day...glad I am not the only one! It sometimes feels like nausea but other times yes like you said you almost feel hung over...I am 9 weeks prego today and I keep getting told it subsides once you hit that hump of getting over the first trimester, but boy has it been a long couple of weeks! Hang in there! I take Ginger and it works wonders!!!
  • With DS I started to feel better around 16 weeks. I hope that is the case again because I really want to focus on eating healthy again. It's so hard to eat right when you are nauseous and nothing sounds appealing.

  • Seaband makes a ginger gum. I find that it works really good, especially in the morning.
  • You can get through it! This week I started feeling a little better, so im hoping the same thing happens for you !

  • Oh yeah... it will start going away around the start of 2nd trimester. My sister and I never threw up during our pregnancies but had bouts of uneasiness and queasiness.

Tell your husband to back off on the chicken if it makes it worse.

Did your doctor tell you to  take Dramamine and Zofran those so you don't feel worse?

  • That is exactly how I have been feeling for the last 2-3 weeks!  My MW told me that it should get better by 12 weeks or so.  This is all new to me since I did not have any of these symptoms when I was PG with DS.  My MW did say that taking a B vitamin (B12, maybe?) and ginger might help the nausea.

  • I was feeling exactly like you. Unisom has saved my life! My friend who is a mother and obgyn told me to take it. I also asked my dr's office, and they said it was fine to take. I take a unisom at night and half a B6 pill in the morning. Hope this helps! :)
  • I describe it as horrible car sickness. All day every day. With my girls it lasted till 16 and 18 weeks. Praying it doesn't last that long this time! I'm too busy to deal with it for that long!

  • You are describing my last pregnancy exactly! It does go away I promise! I didn't start feeling better until 16 weeks though. Hope it eases up for you soon.

  • Yes My doctor told me Dramamine and Zofran would help keep the nausea at bay. She also told me about the B6 and Unisom. I think I have tried everything! I think only time will help heal this.
