Semi-IF Dream

This is the dream I had last night: DH and I were somewhere (in a house?) with my MIL and BIL. My BIL is looking very nervous and says he needs to tell us something. He says last year he got a girl PG and their son is almost a yr old and he was too scared to tell the family so he's been hiding it from us. DH is so mad he just walks out (which I guess means he is super pissed because he is usually very vocal about things he is not happy about) and I follow him. The next day we receive a letter in the mail from the girl telling us she felt like we should have the opportunity to know our nephew and sent pictures of the cutest little boy. Which made me think that the only reason my BIL told us is because he knew she had sent that letter. DH tells me he is devastated because his brother is in no way mature enough or financially stable enough to support a child and he sleeps with the girl once and she gets KU. Then here we are perfectly capable of caring for a child and nothing we try works. He said he always thought that he'd be the first to have a son to carry on the family name since he is the oldest. It was heartbreaking and very random as I'm not sure my BIL has ever even had a real girlfriend or date for that matter. Needless to say he is not a ladies' man! lol

    What a realistic dream! Sounds like a movie in your mind. Those are kind of the worst though, because they're so intense. Hope you're able to shake it off.

    4w c/p loss 10/29/12 - EDD July 2013

    Long story: trying on our own + testing testing testing with 6 rounds of Clomid, more testing, injectables + TI, laparoscopy - one tube blocked, 2 IUIs with Follistim...BFNs.
    RPL testing all normal, Karyotyping normal

    Moving on to IVF.

    IVF #1 April 2012 = BFN, IVF #2 June 2012 = BFP. U/S 7/23 = saw heartbeat but measuring behind. Follow up U/S on 7/30 - no heartbeat. D&C 8/2. Trisomy 12. IVF #3 Oct 2012 = Chemical Pregnancy

    Phone consult with CCRM on 12/12/12 - ODWU 1/4/13 - both tubes clear(!) - AFC 24, AMH 3.2, FSH 9.6, LH 5.4, E2 25. DH has high frag rate but improved!
    IVF #4 March 2013 CCRM. EP protocol w/ Menopur, Gonal-F & Dexamethasone. ER 3/29 & IMSI, PICSI. 43R 13M 10F 6blasts bio'd. CCS testing reveals 3 normals!!!
    FET 5/31/13 of 1 4AA blast - thawed and expanded. 4dp5dt BFP.
    Beta 9dp5dt = 181, 11dp5dt = 427. 1st u/s showed a healthy heartbeat! EDD 2/16/14

    After 4 years of hoping and heartbreak, our sweet little bean was born on 2/19/14
    We are so in love with her.

    Oh, freaky!  I hate intense, vivid dreams -- and I've been having tons of them ever since starting oral Prometrium.

    Yes, it was very realistic! I woke up and had to think about if it was a dream or not. I think the absurdity of my BIL fathering and then hiding a child helped me to shake it off pretty fast! I guess crazier things have happened though.

    Oh yes, I remember having weird dreams while on Prometrium! That was probably the same time I was talking in my sleep a lot. Tongue Tied

    Wow, that's nuts! Sometimes dreams are so real that you have this craptastic feeling all day afterwords. It's so weird how our subconscious mind sometimes decides to toy with us, huh? I hope you're able to get some blissful dreams from here on out. Ones with puppies, rainbows, and chocolate. ;-)

    6w5d ultrasound showed one perfect baby with a beautiful heartbeat of 134bpm!

    I have no evidence to back up this theory at all, but I think that dreams are basically our minds taking out the garbage every night. Just dumping all the random stuff floating around there out. And there's so often weird stuff floating around!

    Yep, I agree. I've had dreams where when I woke up I knew it was my subconscious dealing with emotions and situations that I wasn't letting myself deal with while awake. My subconscious does a much better job at it than then awake me does! Plus, it's usually entertaining.
