Rec your umbrella stroller

We're going to Mexico in June.  LO will be 13 months old so I'm looking for a lightweight stroller that folds well but still has a decent sun shade and basket.  Right now I have a City Mini that I love, but I'm looking for something smaller to travel with.  I'd like to keep it around $200 or less if I can.  I've had my eye on a few different styles, but am looking for some personal experience.

Also, feel free to mention strollers that aren't worth while.

  • Uppa baby g-lite!!!! Its my favorite stroller and I have 5 different strollers.  It has a great sun shade and only weighs 8.8lb.  We have flown with it many times.  The basket is not huge but its holds a decent amount (though not a big diaper bag).

This. Although I have the Uppababy G-luxe. It also has a UV protector shade that I loved on our Florida trip (DS is fair) and we flew with ours as well. It is also perfect for neighborhood & mall trips since it reclines & the seat is super soft (& stays clean-even in a light color). We went from the SnG to this at 3 months with DS and haven't needed another stroller. It's wonderful other than the tiny basket, but most umbrellas are like that.

  • I'd look into the Valco Snap.  It's very light but more full featured than most umbrella strollers.

  • Someone on here recommended the Inglesina Trip to me for when we were traveling to New York a few months ago. We bought it and used it for our trip. It was awesome! Easy to fold, reclines, extra large sun shade, comes with rain guard, and has a decent basket. I highly recommend it.
