PAIF response:

Not much new here. We have our anatomy scan in 3 weeks. Our Maternit21 test came back inconclusive first one for the practice and apparently happens less than 1 percent of the time. Lucky ducky me!. I am supposed to go back and try again. Yay. Work still sucks and I have no motivation to do anything.
ETA no plans for Valentines day. I guess I should at least buy mr pretty a card.

I found a new RE AND a new job all on the same day (Monday!!!)  I'm super excited about both!!!!  I'm starting the new job on Monday and its in my previous field but a position with much less stress! Also, my new RE gave me donor eggs as Plan B, rather than Plan A which I was super happy about. I'm willing to admit its a likely future for us but I'd like to exhaust my options first and he agreed, hurray!!!  This has been a pretty good week

You're tellin me!  No wonder I was such a HOT freakin mess yesterday!!!  For you ladies playing along at home-  Yesterday I had the WORST day at work, am getting sick then came home to find a baby shower invite for a friend of mine from HS who got KU by a booty call.  Plus I was stressing about if I should get another RE opinion. I cheated on my diet and had McDonalds for dinner.  Did I feel guilty?  Not one bit.  lol  HOT MESS!  Thanks AF!

just got interviewed with my Master's student for an article within the University about using technology in the classroom. i was pretty psyched until i saw the pictures. the weight gain due to Infertility meds is now bumming me out.

sigh.

my husband and i are traveling to see a friend over the weekend bc my university has friday off for Lincoln's birthday (yes, I live in Illinois)

still planning for march ivf, but am pretty hesitant to be too serious about it after last cycle's epic fail.

PA: I can't believe how fast time is flying for your pregnancy. I'm sorry about the inconclusive test and I hope you have better luck the next time around. Have fun shopping for a pretty card for Mr.

 Kflynn: CONGRATS on ALL levels!!! So exciting!!!  I'm glad you're moving forward and looking at plans you feel comfortable with.

 Megs: So glad AF showed and you're planning to knock these labs out like a champ. It's always a great feeling when you're in control again, and I always feel in control when I'm knocking tests off my list. 

 Lincoln: *hugs* I'm sorry about the weight gain from the meds. IF sucks in so many freakin' ways. It just blows. 

 AFM: I'm 2dp5dt and am already rollercoastering all over the place as to being positive, then negative, then positive, then negative. I am working from home today and trying to keep my mind off of it but I'll be lost if this cycle doesn't work. Especially since two of our embryos ended up dying and we only have that refrozen blast remaining. Then these embryos will be gone forever. One of the two blasts we transferred on Monday was super-duper hatching so I'm hoping it's clinging on for dear-life in my ute, dangit. It was itching to implant somewhere! 

For V-day, I'm making Steak au Poivre, steamed artichokes, and gnocchi and DH is making chocolate fondue for dessert. If you want to try to make something fancy that involves lighting a pan on fire, this recipe is the way to go!

I think I decided to break up with my IF therapist and find another. I've gotten some really useful coping skills from her over the past year and a half, but I find myself increasingly socially isolated and angrier and angrier (neither of which are her fault.) I don't think I'm getting the perspective or help I need from her anymore. In addition, she isn't well versed in the level of IF treatments we're dealing with now and, since I've been seeing her she has always and keeps trying to DX me/us herself and that causes me anxiety. Mister D agrees with my assessment. Feeling nervous about it but hoping I can find someone who fits better with what I need.

As for V-day -  I made pink cookies for all my co-workers. I think Mister D and I are going to the gym Valentine's night but getting tandem massages on Friday night! Good trade!

I am loving all the upbeat updates!  I hope everyone has a lovey dovey Valentine's Day...whether you are celebrating in big or small fashion.  I am taking the Valentine's Day opportunity to get a little sappy on y'all...thank you for all of the support - I have so much love for those who give and receive the encouragement we need more that anything while dealing with the highs and lows of infertility. I am sorry that you have to repeat the Maternit21, but so so happy your pregnancy is otherwise uneventful in the best way possible!

My last cycle was wonky...it was only 23 days and according to OPKs I O'd when I usually do and my cycle is normally a regular 28 days. Of course I'm thinking I now have a LPD to add to my other issues. Hopefully it really was just a wonky cycle! Now this cycle I have no clue if I already O'd or if it's going to be later than usual. I really hate this basic TTC stuff. I'd rather get a good wanding and know for sure where I'm at in my cycle! Part of me feels like there's no point to keeping track since I'm infertile, but the other part of me feels like I need to keep track so at least I know I'm trying something. So frustrating!

ETA: No big plans for V-day that I know of. We'll probably go to dinner on Saturday night. Maybe DH will remember all my begging for him to go get a reflexology massage with me and decide it would make a nice surprise??

I'm sorry Rachel that your Maternit21 came back inconclusive!  Of course.. this sort of thing seems to happen to us IF ladies!

Not much going on.  Trying to remain busy to get through the next 12 days till my first u/s.  I feel like I will be able to breathe a little easier when they tell me that lone star is right on track with a strong heart beat!  Oh who am I kidding?  I'll be a nervous wreck till my next u/s!Just going to make a nice dinner for Valentine's Day.  Guess I too should get hubs a card!

Want to vent?  I do not know what the relevance of the GRE for one who is seeking a degree as a Nurse practitioner.  It freaking blows!!! 

Let it all out here! Any big plans for Valentines day? Nope.  I am playing things minute by minute.  I will think about V day once I am finished with the awful test!!!  Maybe we will rent a movie at home and have a quiet evening.

I think it's the right decision to break it off, when a therapist is no longer helpful and assess weird dx its good to move on. I fired mine several times until she got the message. Gl

Had MFM appt today and she found an SCH, she also said she would like the sac to be rounder but the good thing is the heart is still beating and embryo is measuring on track. The SCH is why I have been bleeding however one doc wants me to stay on the Lovenox and Baby aspirin and the other wants me off. The drugs are keeping me pg so why would I get off, also some people use Lovenox to clear a SCH, the fact that the two are in disagreement is making me nuts. I decided I am staying on that medicine whether they like it or not.  I started to have a panic attack when the nurse told me to stop the Lovenox before she even discussed it with the doctor.

Ugh, how frustrating! I'm sorry your drs aren't on the same page. T&P that the Lovenox takes care of the SCH and that everything else will be perfectly fine!

How scary!  Conflicting opinions would make me nuts too.  I hope they get on the same page soon & that yout SCH resolves soon!

I completely understand about the weight gain.  It sucks!!!  I gain weight from the meds then my RE likes to remind me losing weight would help our success.  like Gee thanks!  Thats exciting about the interview though!  I'm in IL too, and am really jealous you get Lincolns bday off.

 Sounds like the break up is a good decision.  I'm sure that her trying to DX you is more stressful than helpful.  Good Luck finding a better fit!

Matter of fact, you want to talk about a waste of time....I never, ever, ever, get my period (and at the risk of sounding Taylor Swift-ish)....like ever, LOL nor do my temps get above 97.5 but I'm charting away hahahahaha

Love the Taylor Swift reference! So why are you charting if you have 1 giant-never-ending-cycle? It's to screw with the people at FF isn't it? lol Eventually FF will be like "we don't have a big enough chart for your unending cycle and you're using up all of our data storage space, please go away". lol I use to temp but when I first saw my RE he was more interested in my OPK info than temps, said temps weren't that reliable. Temping is stressful for me so I was happy to quit it!
