This group is open to anyone who has already gone through donor egg/donor embryo/gestational carrier, is in the process of it, or plans on doing it in the future.

 

This check-in posted each Tuesday.  If you?d like to be added to this group, please reply to this message, and I?ll make sure to add you for next week.  Welcome to the lurkers!  We know this can be a difficult journey, but we welcome you with open arms.  Let us know if we can answer any questions.

Lining looking good

Heart heartbeat at u/s! Bleeding scare but everything still looking good, U/S at just over 9 weeks looked good! Tapering off of PIO, Verifi test looked good, it?s a girl!

Beta #1 = 243, Beta #2 = 489, first u/s showed one healthy developing yolk sac, everything looked good on first trimester screening, diagnosed with gestational diabetes, great anatomy scan on 3/5 showed a girl!  First monthly growth u/s complete, baby looking great, baby daughter H. born on 8/1

Cycling with DE at out-of-state clinic, ER 12/5 - 16 eggs retrieved, got 5 in split cycle, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 5dt of one embryo on 12/10, beta #1=413, beta #2= 3952, first u/s showed a healthy baby with heartbeat of 138 bpm, second u/s also went great, CVS on 2/14 showed healthy baby GIRL! Starting monthly growth scans, beautiful big baby girl arrived 8/31/12!   

 

lisaiesha ? DE cycle with an anonymous, proven donor, transferred one Day 5 blast on 3/12 ? BFP! Due date was 11/29

 

lunatwo ? September cycle cancelled due to ovulating on Lupron, DE IVF#1 - ER was 11/11, 13 eggs, 6 fertilized, 5 B-grade embryos, ET on 11/16, BFP! Beta #1 = 485, Beta #2 = 2,495, first u/s showed twins!! A boy and a girl!

PetraStonegirl ? Fresh-frozen DE cycle in late July, had scar tissue and uterine septum resection in May, has 3 five day frosties! sFET was cancelled due to insufficient lining, restarting new cycle, on delestrogen, lining check went well, starting PEO, sFET went well, BFP! Beta #1=291, betas still climbing strongly, many u/s with RE before graduating to OB, NT scan results looked great, diagnosed with placenta previa, but it has now cleared! Dealing with labile hypertension, C-section no later than 5/13, scale prompted L&D visit but everything is OK

 

RachelD83 ? BFP on 2nd FET (single embryo transfer) - boy! Jonathan born on 12/8 at 38w3d, he's starting to crawl!  

 

rebaann ? Two pregnancies from IUI that ended in miscarriages and D&C?s (((hugs))), now pursuing DE, mock ET on 4/12, everything looked good on repeat HSG, repeat S/A, mammogram, social work consult, injection training, mock EEP cycle, picked a donor! Transferred 2 embryos, BFP! Beta #1 = 820, Betas 2 and 3 were great, u/s on 10/1 showed one baby measuring right on track with a heartbeat of 125, first OB appointment on 10/22 uneventful, everything looked good at NT scan, put on baby aspirin because of blood pressure

What am I doing for Valentine's Day?  I'm flying to Seattle for FET.   

We confirmed the date on Thursday last week.  I started PIO on Saturday and have to say I'm pleasantly surprised I am tolerating it so well.  I was so terrified of the needle I was panicking but so far so good.  (knock on wood).

So we will be in the 2ww as of  4pm on Thursday!  OMG.  Yeah!

Update:  Our lone frozen embryo is officially donated.  I hope someone is lucky enough to get matched with it.  Also really exciting news is that the President is coming to my girls school tomorrow.  He's highlighting the Pre-K program but I so hope they get to meet him.  Can you imagine having your first Presidential meeting at 16 mos?  We are making him a Valentine  

QOTW: I am so excited about our Vday plans (though not as cool as having a transfer!)  We are going to see the Frida and Diego exhibit at our art museum.  It's only coming to like 2 places in the country and I'm a wild Frida Kahlo fan.  When I finished my master's degree, I went to Mexico City to see her house as my present to myself.

Update: I am on Lupron and Vivelle right now. I will have my lining check on 2/22 and then if that goes well the ET will be 2/28!

QOTW: we are boring and don't have any plans. We are started a full kitchen remodel this weekend though so we've said that's our present to each other. I'm good with that!

Update: holy cow!! RE's ofc just called to tell me they will be doing our donors egg retrieval on Friday. They will call me Friday to tell me how many were retrieved. It looks like she has 20 follicles. They will make an appt for a 3 day transfer on Monday, but will call Monday early morning if it looks like it will be a 5 day transfer. I can't believe it's actually happening. I've been feeling a bit crampy and this am had a tiny tiny bit of pinkish spotting, but my RE's ofc said that was ok. 

I picked up a few small things for our donor and a thank you card. I have no idea what to write in the card...."thank you for giving us the greatest gift we've ever received...thank you for giving us the opportunity to have another beautiful baby" I mean how do you say thank you for something like that?? Guess I'll work on that tonight

 

QOTW: no big plans for valentines day. I plan on making some heart shaped pizzas for DD and DH for dinner, and I'm getting DH some donut holes for in the morning with a sign attached that says "donut you know how much I love you" Thank you Pinterest for the idea

First, congrats to those cycling this month...I'm excited for you guys!!   And as always, hugs to those that need them.

My brief update:  Got a call yesterday that I need to have another blood test run (sounds simple, right?), but not all labs can run it.  Spent my lunch hour trying to see if my insurance will cover it and it seems like they were able to point me to a lab that can run it, so it will be covered.  Hopefully, I can get it drawn by the end of this week.  Otherwise, I'm just waiting for all of the other results to come in. 

QOTW:  No special plans for V-Day.  Although, I have to remember to go and buy some cards tomorrow.  (Yes, I'm one to wait until the last minute...except when it comes to our 6-year old niece, LOL.  MH and I picked out some cute things for her a few weeks ago for V-Day.)

Update: I'm feeling about like I did at this point in my pregnancy with my daughter, so that is reassuring.

QOTW: No plans!  We are boring!  My DH works until 8:00 on weeknights, so hopefully we can do something this weekend.

I haven't updated in quite awhile, but it looks like we are finally getting somewhere. We were unable to continue with our original donor because she had PCOS.  We chose her in August but didn't get this information until December.  We were fortunate enough to get our current donor straight off a successful cycle in December.  I started Lupron on Jan.11 and Estrace on Feb 7.  She will start her injections this weekend with retrieval estimated Feb 27.  She had a sono yesterday, and her resting follicle count is 28!  I am completely giddy!

We don't have plans for Valentines Day.  I will work until at least 5 and come home to the fantastic men in my life.  That's good enough for me!

Update:  Everything is moving forward!  We're waiting for our donor's three day testing which should be sometime in the next week or so.  Then she'll be doing her one day workup at our clinic in March so we're looking at a transfer in May.  In the meantime, after not ovulating and an FSH through the roof, my body has somehow gotten itself back on track and our doc is letting us hail mary one more OE IVF.  We're doing EPP (which we did last time) and expect to start early March.  I'm optimistic but realistic which is why we're still moving forward with the donor.  Even if OE IVF works, I highly doubt we'll see any frosties so we'll need the DE for a sib.  What a rollercoaster!

QOTW:  A lovely dinner complete with flowers and chocolate.  Low-key but perfect.
