I can't think of anything other then what you mentioned. I like Poppy as a stand alone name!
So do we. But we've had a lot of bad feedback and I would hate to have her wish we had given her a more formal name. We've been calling her Poppy for the last 20 wks since I was 4 wks pg. Everything else seems wrong now lol

If you love it and are already calling her that, I say stick with it! The negative feedback will go away when they meet her and those who still have something to say aren't worth your time!

I love Poppy by itself too! Or maybe the middle name and she can go by it?
This is a good idea. Or you could give her a "normal" middle name that she could choose to go by for professionalism if she wants. I also agree with another pp who said to just forget about the people giving you a hard time. I like Poppy as a standalone name.
The only downside to the name that I just realized as I accidentally added too many o's to Poppy...it spells pooppy, which would be an awful nickname....

I like Poppy as a FN. I also really like Penelope...

It is sometimes used as a nickname for Josephine.
Appellation Mountain says "Pepe is a Spanish nickname for Joseph; so Poppy might plausibly come from the feminine version."
