nothing makes you feel as old as new technology

I went from being the only kid in school with computers to getting a new computer with windows 8 and feeling like an idiot because I don't know how to use it..

Will probably return it actually.. is much smaller than I expected and wrist hurts already using the touch pad..after an hour....

restoring to factory settings now so I can box the sucker up and return....stupid impulse shopping without reading specs.... ow going to look at Dell nd find a real laptop that I can use to work from home

I bought a new laptop in November. I HATE HATE HATE Windows 8. I end up using it in desktop mode so it is like a regular computer....but it still has all these pop ups and things that I can't stand! UGH!

I think everyone I know hates windows 8... Desktop mode? How does one do that? I feel like such an idiot when it comes to windows 8, and normally I can work my way through learning new things pretty well.

One of those silly colored button things says desktop. Click that and you get desktop view. Then if you want to go back to other view you go to bottom left and let mouse hover over and you will see the colored buttons come back. I never go back--just stay in desktop mode.

Viewing pictures is a royal PIA among other things. If I could do it again, I would have paid the extra money to get the older version of Windows.

darn, that is how we are using it on moms laptop... stupid stupid windows 8! I was thinking about upgrading my laptop but I know now that I won't be doing that!
