Scar healing

I had slight cellulitis in the hospital and was placed on antibiotics. I still have 3 days of pills to take. The left side of the incision is beautifully healed however the right side is still tender, swollen and a little red. I'm 1 week post op. anyone experience prolonged wound healing? I was told by the nurse that one side is usually more painful and takes longer to heal due to them pulling the baby out on that side.

I wouldn't consider 1 week post op to be "prolonged".

I had major issues with both of my first two c/s.  My incision took over 6 months to close completely with my DD--no infection, just didn't want to heal. 

My second, I ended up with a massive infection at 2 weeks pp and was rehospitalized and put on antibiotics.  That cleared things right up and a week later it was completely healed. 

One week out isn't unusual at all to still have a small part of your incision open.  Keep taking your antibiotics.  Keep your wound super clean and use a blow dryer on it after your shower and throughout the day.  Call your OB if things don't improve soon--you don't want to have to be put back in the hospital.
